Medicare Coverage Options

This coverage has various different packages, and has been expanded to add private insurance plans and other additional forms of coverage. In order to help you find the package that is most appropriate for you, please look through the following sections in order to familiarize yourself with your coverage options.

Original Medicare: Part A and B

Medicare Part A

Medicare Part A is designed to cover the cost of inpatient hospital bills and nursing facilities. Part A also provides payment for hospice care and some forms of limited home health care.

Hospital Stays

This section of your coverage will cover the costs of any hospital stay you may undergo as a result of your treatment. In addition to covering the cost of your stay, Part A pays the cost of your room, all any of your general nursing fees, all hospital services you receive during your stay, and the cost of any supplies or products used during your treatment. This includes all inpatient care you receive in critical access hospitals, as well as mental health care.

Items that are not included within your coverage are television costs and the telephone bill you may incur during your stay, as well as the cost of private duty nursing. Patients are limited to 190 days of private psychiatric inpatient care during their lifetime.

Skilled Nursing Facility Coverage

Included in this policy is the cost of any semiprivate rooms they may require during their stay, nursing and related faculty care services, and additional supplies and services required during their stay. This applies to a 3 day stay in a nursing facility.

Home Health Care

If you are suffering from a terminal illness, this policy covers the cost of drugs related to pain management, as well as medical support and services. This policy requires that said services are provided from a facility that has been approved by your provider, and covers additional services not covered by Part A and Part B. Additionally, this policy covers brief inpatient stays at hospitals for the purposes of recuperation should their usual caregiver be otherwise occupied.

Blood

Any blood required during your care is covered by this policy during an approved stay at a facility.

Medicare Part B

Medicare Part B covers the costs of doctor bills and your outpatient hospital costs. Going along with these services, Part B provides coverage for ambulance transport, diagnostic fees, preventative care (such as mammograms), surgery, surgery supplies, Pap tests, as well as medical equipment and supplies (such as wheelchairs, walkers, and oxygen).

This policy covers the cost of laboratory tests, specifically blood tests, urinalysis, and some screening tests.

Medicare Part C: Advantage Plans

Medicare Advantage Plans are facilitated through private insurance companies, and are examples of the plans some of the plans we offer at Security Professional Insurance Service. These private insurance companies work together with Medicare to provide the same benefits as Original Medicare (Part and and Part B), plus additional coverage options. • Vision
  • Hearing
  • Dental
  • Additional Health and Wellness Programs

Some of the Advantage Plans we offer also cover even more costs such as Part D explained in the following section.

Medicare Part D

If you meet the qualifications for Medicare and are not receiving coverage for you prescription medication, Medicare Part D is able to supplement the cost of these prescriptions. Just like Part C, this coverage is an addition to the Original Medicare package and can be provided along with Original Medicare by our private insurance providers at Security Professional Insurance Service. If you are interested in a stand alone prescription drug coverage policy, or policy that includes coverage for all sections of medicare, then our professionals can provide you with that coverage.

Your Cost For an Original Medicare Plan in Orange County

This plan bases its costs off of the amount of services you use. If you use a service offered by your plan, then your provider charges you for that service, and you are generally billed monthly for your services. This plan is available to everyone in the United States that meets the criteria, and managed by the United States Federal Government.

Factors that contribute to determining your costs consist of:

  • Having only Part A, only Part B, or both forms of coverage.
  • Your personal physician agreeing to accept ‘assignment” for your care.
  • The frequency you require medical attention.
  • The type of medical care you require.
  • Which services and supplies you choose (those outside of your policy are not covered by your policy).
  • If you have a separate insurance policy in addition to either Part A, Part B, or both.
  • Your Cost for Additional Medicare Plans in Orange County

If you are satisfied with this coverage than we at Security Professional Insurance Service encourage you to continue with your policy. If, however, you are interested in learning more about how our Medicare Plus policies can benefit you, then we encourage you to look into them. As mentioned in the previous sections, these additional forms of coverage offer all of the benefits of the Original Medicare policies, but add additional forms of coverage to your policy, such as vision, hearing, dental, and prescription drug coverage. These added features of Medicare Part C and D can be extremely beneficial, and we recommend consulting a professional if you are considering upgrading your policy.
